Here’s a story.

I started Disordinary Time two days after the Peachtree Road Race in 2021. During that race I stepped out of time, out of COVID, out of the relentless present into an experience that was in repose from time. When I wrote it down, the people who showed up to be in it surprised me, and then I owed them their stories. This is about time, ritual, and how we confront what we want and who we want to be.

It moves fast, is light enough for a summer read, but meaty enough if your book club is getting boring.

The recipes are all still here (see Recipes), and the original random essays are under Playlist.

You can buy Disordinary Time from Amazon, and if you don’t do the Amazon, it can be ordered from your local bookstore, Barnes and Noble, AbeBooks, or wherever you get your books.

The author with the book

I wrote this.

Thank you.

It got printed, but I’m leaving the names up front because this story wouldn’t exist without these people:

Lisa McLeod
Jami, Steve, and Jake Elizondo
Kim Dyer
And especially Kevin, who gives me courage.
